Place Your Children in the Hands of Jesus

Scriptures: Luke 7:11-17, Matthew 6:13, II Corinthians 6:2
When Jesus met the woman who had lost her only son, He had great compassion for her. In her despair, she surrendered him to Jesus in her despair. He replaced her sorrow with joy, her helplessness with hope.

The I Ams

Do others see your works and – as a result – give glory and honor to God? Do you let your light shine? Will you tell Him, “Lord, I am ready”?

Scripture: Romans 1:14-16, Romans 8:38, Romans 11:13, Romans 15:29, Romans 16:19, Matthew 5:14-16

What Kind of Christian Are You?

As a Christian, we are to be examples of Jesus Christ in our manner of living – in speaking, in love, in faith, in purity. We should seek every opportunity to live a life marked by purpose – that is, to honor Him in everything we do.

I Timothy 4:12, Philippians 4:13, Matthew 6:33, I Corinthians 14:20

The Power of Worship

Worship is a celebration to be experienced and to be shared.  As the Holy Spirit within us “erupts” when we share God’s power within us, others are affected.  Church should be a place of great excitement and joy, but that is only possible when we celebrate and proclaim through worship.

Scripture: Psalms 40:3, 1 Corinthians 14:24-25, John 12:32, Psalms 57:9, Isaiah 6:7,8

When God Doesn’t Make Sense – Part 1

Do you wonder why God is silent and why He doesn’t act when we think He should? Have you ever asked, “Where is my Lord?” Habakkuk was considered a “minor prophet”, but his book contains a major message. Habakkuk is a book of faith- faith tested, faith taught, faith triumphant.

Scripture:  Habakkuk 1:1-11, Psalms 10:1

When God Doesn’t Make Sense – Part 2

Pastor Ray concludes his message “When God Doesn’t Make Sense”. How do we face the confusing times of our day? Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose. God is good…all the time.
Scripture: Habakkuk 1:1-11, Psalms 115:3

The First Resurrection Sunday

The ladies who first arrived at the tomb were not expecting to find it empty.  But they heard the greatest news ever to fall on human ears was “He is not here, for He has risen, as he said!”  Jesus’ death was the perfect, eternal payment for our sins. His resurrection was God’s receipt which is marked “PAID IN FULL”.
Scripture: Matthew 28:1-15; Mark 16:1; Revelation 1:18

Thank You, Lord

Above all other days, we should be thankful for Resurrection Sunday. But each day is full of reasons to be thankful. Have you ever thanked God for yesterday? What about today? And – with anticipation – thank Him for tomorrow!
Scripture: Psalm 66:1-10

Taking the Next Step of Faith

Do you doubt your faith? Do you doubt what God can do through you? God has a great plan for you! Are you willing to step out of the boat? Last month, our Pastor challenged us to take the next step of faith.
Matthew 14:22-33

Satan Attacks

No one is immune from the attacks of Satan, no matter how close your walk with God. He finds our weaknesses and goes after them. Soon we find ourselves dwelling in another valley. But these battles are never fought alone.
Scripture: Luke 22:1-6
