Stand Out

At the moment Christ comes into your life, a change occurs and a transformation begins. It may be easy to blend in with the ways of the world, but we are not called to “fit in”. We’re called to Stand Out.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Each day, we spend time in front of our mirrors, some more time than others. The mirror reflects the truth and doesn’t always show us in a positive light. It causes us to make changes and adjustments to our appearance. Like the mirror, the Bible reveals the truth about us and can cause us to make positive changes in our lives that reflect the life of Christ in us.

4 Steps to Becoming a Successful Servant of God

What does it mean to be a servant of God? If someone were to ask you what it means to be a Christian, what would you say? As a follower of Christ, we are commanded to serve others.

1-develop a servant’s mentality
2-have a determination to serve
3-make a commitment
4-start serving where you are

Scripture: John 12:26; Matthew 4:18-22

Back in the Saddle Again

Elijah had just had a great victory and was riding high in the saddle. But something happened, and he fell hard. How do you get back into the saddle? Remember that God isn’t finished with you until He takes home, and you will outlast your battles and – through them – be refined for His service.

Scripture: I Kings 19:1-15

What Is in Your Hand?

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 9:10

You may find it hard to believe, but it’s true! God has given each of us a talent. The Bible encourages us to take what He has given us, and use it to honor Him with all of our might.

The Persuasive Power of a Godly Mother

Scriptures: II Timothy 1:5-6

During our lifetime, there are certain people who really make an impact on our lives, but a godly mother changes the course of our lives like no one else can.

Place Your Children in the Hands of Jesus

Scriptures: Luke 7:11-17, Matthew 6:13, II Corinthians 6:2
When Jesus met the woman who had lost her only son, He had great compassion for her. In her despair, she surrendered him to Jesus in her despair. He replaced her sorrow with joy, her helplessness with hope.

The I Ams

Do others see your works and – as a result – give glory and honor to God? Do you let your light shine? Will you tell Him, “Lord, I am ready”?

Scripture: Romans 1:14-16, Romans 8:38, Romans 11:13, Romans 15:29, Romans 16:19, Matthew 5:14-16

What Kind of Christian Are You?

As a Christian, we are to be examples of Jesus Christ in our manner of living – in speaking, in love, in faith, in purity. We should seek every opportunity to live a life marked by purpose – that is, to honor Him in everything we do.
